I remember when I was in High School our Sr. year we got to start taking some college classes. If they will let you do that your Sr. year you might try to take a culinary class at your local college or maybe take a class on nutrition.

Everything in high school is there to help you prepare for the future. learning to be on time to class, attendance. time management so you can have a social life while still getting your work done. Proper speech study skills getting along with a wide variety of people even those you don’t really care for. As far as particular classes go that depends on what your school offers . You can see if there is a community college in your area that offers classes than are open to the public. In my area we have quite a few classes like that everything from how to boil water to french cooking good luck. I hope to eat in your restuarant some day

Get a part time job at a restaurant. You’ll learn about the other stuff involved in cooking, no joke. Every little thing that you learn now about cleaning, prepping, marketing, serving, and managing (even if you just observe) will make you more knowledgeable later. Also, culinary school is very expensive. Save money now. Finally, some charter high schools have culinary programs and some colleges and community colleges let you take courses before you graduate from h.s. Good luck!

When I was in high school, my school offered a few classes on nutrition and cooking. If your school offers electives like those, they can give you at least a little hands-on experience and practice.
